What KN POS is
KN POS is a web-based point-of-sale platform built by KN Technologies. It is a subscription business platform for local businesses that sell items.

The product
A shop runs sales, stock, suppliers, and receipts from one screen. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet, or computer, with no software to install. It is offline-capable, though internet is recommended so data is backed up in real time.

Who it is for
The MVP targets businesses that sell items: retail shops, small stores, mini-marts, and provision shops. Services (barbershops, salons, and similar) are not yet supported; they will come later as separate business types.

The business model
Subscription-based, paid monthly. Payment is by Mobile Money. The first month is paid upfront, then a recurring monthly subscription follows. There is no free trial, and customers can cancel anytime with no lock-in.

Support model
Primary support is the marketer, who gives his own contact at signup. Backup support is a company email. Specific contact details (email, phone, WhatsApp) are still to be decided.

Data safety
Business data is safe, backed up, and exportable by the business at any time. The data belongs to the business, not to us.

Current stage
We are planning the MVP and its marketing. This reference is part of that plan: it gives the marketer a full picture of the business so he can present it confidently. Final brand naming is still to be decided (KN POS is the working name).
Section 2: How It Works
The core of the system
These are the facts that define how the product behaves. Understanding them is enough to answer most questions on the spot.
Works anywhere
The system runs in the browser, on Chrome, Safari, or anything similar. It works on a phone, tablet, laptop, or a staff member's phone. There is no software to install, no computer shop visit, and no cable setup. If you can open a website, you can use KN POS.
Receipts print automatically
When a sale is finished, the receipt prints by itself on a standard thermal printer, the kind commonly used in shops. Receipts no longer have to be written by hand.
Stock updates by itself
Each sale reduces the stock count automatically. The dashboard warns when something runs low, so the shop can restock before losing a customer.
Works offline too
The system still works without internet. Internet is better, because data is then backed up in real time. Either way, records stay safe.
Numbers anytime
Sales for the day, sales for the week, and best-selling items are available instantly. With a notebook, the owner would have to sit and add everything up by hand.
Data is the business's own
Everything is backed up and exportable at any time. The business data belongs to the business, not to us.

These are the features in the first version, described in plain language.
Dashboard
Today's sales at a glance, low-stock warnings, and a quick snapshot of how the shop is doing, without opening a single notebook.
Sales (POS)
Add items by tap, see the total, take payment by cash or MoMo, and print a thermal receipt automatically. Stock decreases on its own with every sale.
Inventory
Add or edit products, set quantities and reorder levels, and get warned before the shop runs out of anything.
Suppliers
Save supplier contacts and record restocking purchases, so it is clear what was bought, when, and from whom.
Reports
Sales per day and per week, plus best-selling items, answer the question "how is business?" in one tap.
Logins (admin only)
The owner is the admin. Employee accounts and roles are planned after launch. For now the owner runs everything under one admin login.
